Traverse

‘Traverse’ was my first politically inspired exhibition and asked the audience to question the controversial political stance on forced population migration. When the audience entered the gallery, they found themselves confronted with a floating metallic boat. This boat reflected the artworks and people within the gallery, creating a distorted view point. The photos surrounding the boat, featured sea scapes, coupled with red acrylic lines and blocks, acting as warning signs. ‘Traverse’ asked the viewer to question, what would they do if they were faced with fleeing persecution by boat?
